When our old jeweler retired, we had to find a new shop to do the prongs on my ring when they wear down. Didn't need that yet, but they sized my ring and added two sizing beads to keep it from spinning, but I can still take the ring off when I need to. It's very secure, though, so not loose. Beautiful work and the stones sparkled like crazy after they deep-cleaned it. I see they also polished it so that it looks like new. I would trust them to do any work on my good jewelry. My elderly mother couldn't get her wedding ring (from my late father) off, and wants to be able to pass it down when the time comes. The woman at Rudy's was so sweet about cutting it. When she saw my mom getting emotional, she pulled out a sucker for her!! They opened the ring enough for her to take it off, then will resize it for her and put in the same beads I got. Hopefully, she'll be able to put it on and take it off whenever she wants to, and it won't spin so badly.
